Attorney Profile

Robert Silberman is a 1970 graduate of the Harvard Law School.  He received his B.A. degree in History in 1967 from Yale University, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and from which he graduated magna cum laude.

Following graduation from law school, Mr. Silberman was an associate (1970-1978) and then a partner (1978-1990) in the Boston law firm of Csaplar & Bok.  In 1989, as part of Csaplar & Bok’s partner sabbatical program, Mr. Silberman practiced for six months with the London law firm of Paisner & Co. (now Berwin Leighton Paisner LLP).  Csaplar & Bok merged into the Boston firm of Gaston & Snow in 1990, where Mr. Silberman was a partner (1990-1991) until he joined the Boston office of Edwards & Angell, LLP (now Edwards Wildman Palmer, LLP).  Mr. Silberman was a partner at Edwards & Angell from 1999 to 2000.  In 2000, seeking an environment in which to focus on the middle market, Mr. Silberman moved his practice to an established business firm in Wellesley that eventually became Israel & Silberman, PC.  Since August 2011, Mr. Silberman has practiced as The Law Office of Robert A.S. Silberman, LLC.

In the more than forty years that he has practiced law, Mr. Silberman has advised both companies and individuals in a variety of legal matters.

Mr. Silberman is rated “AV-Preeminent”, the highest ranking in the Martindale‑Hubbell® Lawyer Peer Review Ratings™.

Mr. Silberman is a member of the American Bar Association and the Boston Bar Association.  He is a former Chair of the Health Law Committee of the American Bar Association’s Section of Business Law.

Mr. Silberman is a member of the Board of Directors of Boston Baroque and its former Board Chair.
